Since we don't have internet at our house my blogging has become much more difficult! Here are some pictures of Allie. We had Easter Round 1 this weekend and will have round 2 next weekend so hopefully I can post some pics from next weekend! Trying to do better with this! :)

It's Been Awhile...

It's been almost two months since I last posted--Wow time flies!!! We have been SOOO busy! So much has happened....We moved out of our apartment in Memphis, moved in with my parents (temporarily), and bought a dental practice in Winchester, TN (that needs quite a bit of remodeling)!!

Allie is growing up so fast!! She is a little over 10 months and really starting to walk pretty well. We are quickly learning how this new mode of transportation is changing our lives!! :) We are so busy trying to keep up with her! She is such a sweet baby and she is so good!! Everyday she is doing new things and she constantly amazes us!! She keeps us entertained for sure! She can say, "light, eyes, bye bye, mommy, daddy, and hi."

We are working on the dental practice to try and bring it "up to date." We have a big project on our hands! We are taking it slow and right now have taken down some wallpaper and done some painting. We still have lots to do!! I will post before and after pics as soon as we get some real progress made.

Allie is learning new tricks every day!! She crawls all over the place--FAST!! She has mastered sitting up. Her newest trick is pulling up!! She pulled up for the first time about a week ago but since then she has gotten really good at it. She pulls up to everything she can get her hands on! She's the most content when she's standing up. Last night, she pulled up on me and then let go. It scared us to death!! We thought she was going to crash but she didn't. She just stood there for a few seconds before she sat back down. It was so exciting!!

On Friday, we went to Jackson to spend the night with Whitney & Chris. Our original plan was to come home Saturday afternoon...our plans changed. On Saturday afternoon we heard the news that it was snowing in Memphis and it was headed our way. It soon started snowing and we had lots before we went to bed. This is what we woke up to this morning!!! We were so excited!

On the way home we had plenty of time to take pictures and "play" in the backseat. What normally is a little over an hour trip turned into over 3 hours!! Traffic was terrible and the roads weren't in great shape. We made it back safe & sound. Here is a picture I took of Allie's teeth.

Allie got her first tooth on Monday!!! We were on our way back to Memphis and we stopped for Allie to eat. I got in the backseat and there it was!! It is one of the middle ones on the bottom. The one beside it is just under the gum!

Oops!! I didn't get to post the update from the appointment....Allie was a little fussy after her shots. Her doctor said she looked great and was doing just fine. She weighed 15 lbs. 8 oz. and was 25 1/4 in. long. She's growing so fast! We also had a mini photo shoot this afternoon...here are some pics!

We had a GREAT Christmas-- It was very busy!! We started our Christmas vacation by going to Lake Norfork in Arkansas for the weekend. Papaw and Jo came with us-- We had a great time. Cory got to hunt and we just played with Allie. It was freezing cold while we were there. One night it was 12 degrees!! Then we went to Jonesboro and celebrated Christmas with Cory's family. After that we went to Jasper to spend some time with my family. We were gone for over 2 weeks and had a wonderful time!! Cory is back at work today and I am here documenting the last 2 weeks. We decided to try Allie in the the stroller without the carseat attachment. Here she is sitting up in her carseat like a "big girl." She really seemed to like it better this way because she could see everything. She sat in it for a while just looking around!!

Allie went to the doctor Tuesday and weighed 12 lbs. 14 oz. and was 24 inches long...She is really growing!! After her doctor's appt. Jo and Papaw came and took us to dinner at Red Lobster-- yum! Allie was pretty fussy after her shots and cried the whole time. I ended up having to take her to the car so everyone in the restaurant could eat in peace!!

While we were in Jasper these past two weeks, we had Allie's two month and Christmas pictures taken. Allie went to sleep about 10 minutes into the pictures and slept the whole time....through outfit changes, poses and everything!! So...only the first few pictures were of her awake! Cory is in Miami this week for his residency so Allie and I are spending the week with my parents in Jasper. We are getting to see lots of people I haven't seen in a while and Allie is getting to meet some new people! We went to church in Jasper this morning and had company this afternoon. We have had another big weekend...It's been fun! Amy left on Saturday afternoon. We have missed her-- She was lots of fun and help!! Uncle Chris and Aunt Whitney came over Saturday night to watch the ballgame and spend the night with Allie!! Papaw and Jo also came over Saturday night to see us--It was fun! Allie went to our church in Memphis for the first time today. She did pretty good until the preaching started and then she started crying a little. Daddy held her out in the hallway during the entire sermon. Here are some pictures from the weekend. We forgot to get pictures of Papaw, Jo and Chris :( We will do better next time!

Since Nana's not here this week I have to post more often so she can see Allie growing. Yesterday was a fussy day so we didn't get a lot of pictures but here are the ones from yesterday and the day before. Jo bought us a little pouch to carry Allie around and Cory tried it out last night. Allie liked it as long as he was walking with her!

Allie's Arrival...Again

Oops.....I accidentally deleted my first post of Allie's arrival. I didn't think anyone would notice but about 1 hour after I deleted it Mom called and wanted to know what happened. So, here is a post of Allie's pictures from her arrival and our stay at the hospital.

A recap of that day.....September 26, 2008--I was scheduled to be induced that morning at 7:15. However, at 2:00 that morning I went into labor on my own. When we got to the hospital they told us she would be here by lunch but that turned into 5:05 pm. It was a long day but she was worth it! She weighed 7 lbs. 14 oz. and was 20 3/4 inches long!

Aunt Marlene, Uncle Moody, Les, Granny, & PaPa came to visit on Saturday. We had so much fun visiting with them!! We spent the night at Papaw & Jo's house (Cory's parents)-- Allie's first night away from home! Today was Allie's first trip to church. We went to Cory's parents' church in Jonesboro. Allie made it about 10 minutes into the service before she started crying (during the prayer!) We had a baby shower at church in Jonesboro this afternoon-- It was a lot of fun! Allie was absolutely exhausted when we got home tonight! It was a fun and busy weekend!

It's only Wednesday but so much has happened already this week. Allie went to the doctor on Monday and weighed 9 lbs. and 6 oz. and was 21 1/2 in. long! She also "graduated" today to her size 1 diapers. She is growing sooo fast! Allie has been on 2 shopping trips this week. She also went to Cracker Barrel this morning with her Nana and me for breakfast. She was so good! Here are our most recent pictures. Enjoy!

Today was the first day Allie and I spent the whole day just the two of us. We had a fun day! We sang songs, read books and talked to each other all day-- or between naps! :) Here are some pictures we took this afternoon!

Allie is one week old! Here are some more recent pictures of her. We have been home since Sunday and have had many photo opportunities! This has been a big week for us....We have been to the doctor for Allie's first check up and have had Nana helping us here all week. We have had a great time!
